Request deletion of your data
Examvio — AI study companion · Android package
io.examora.app
You can delete some of your data while keeping your account, or ask us to delete all data by removing your account. Below are the steps we support today and what may be kept for a short time for security and legal compliance.
1. Delete some data in the app (account stays open)
Sign in to Examvio, then use these screens:
- Quiz history — open History, use clear / delete all results (removes stored quiz results tied to your account).
- Notebook summaries — open Notebook, delete individual summaries or delete all.
- Flashcard decks — open Saved Flashcards, delete decks you no longer want stored.
- AI tutor messages — open the AI Tutor screen and delete all messages (or clear the conversation), per the in-app option.
- Study plan — open My Study Plan and clear the plan when that action is available.
If you cannot complete a step in the app, email support@examvio.app from the address on your account with subject Data deletion request and describe what to remove. We will verify ownership and respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days).
2. Delete your entire account and all associated data
This removes your account and cloud data in our primary database. For step-by-step instructions (including re-login if Firebase asks), see:
Or in the app: Profile → Delete Account and confirm.
3. What we delete
- When you use the in-app options above, we remove the corresponding data from our systems (for example Firestore documents for that feature).
- When you delete your account, we remove your Firebase authentication record, profile document, and user subcollections such as quiz results, flashcards, notebook entries, tutor threads, study plan bundle, daily challenge state, and related metadata stored under your user ID.
- Local preferences on the device are cleared when account deletion completes successfully in the app.
4. What may be kept temporarily
- A minimal deletion audit record (for example account identifier, email, timestamp, basic account stats) may be stored for security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, then removed — typically within 90 days.
- Backups may retain copies until they expire in the ordinary course (often a similar window).
- Content you already sent to third-party services (for example cloud providers or AI APIs used to generate answers) is handled under their policies; we do not control all copies they may retain.
